Foundation of a association in the German speaking countries

Long time ago that you got news from my side. I was occupied in a lot of other activities and the project was not yet mature enough that it will go on without my initiative.

Now I am on the next active steps. For the foundation of a association I decided to split the activities in a German and an English part. For the German part we launched a "Verein" (association) and bundle all activities there. This association should give us the financial backround to go ahead with our activities. Of course I would strongly support If a native English speaker would like to start similar activities in his or her country. But it is beyond my capacity to push it, if the initiative is not coming from somebody else.

The association - platform for the German speaking members will be: http://fairwork.mixxt.de It will be only open for member (paying at least 5 Euro per month) There wil go on a interesting experiment in this new platform. We ...

Prasentation of our project

Next weekend we have the opportunity to present our project at two events:

- Karma-Konsum in Frankfurt

- Sustainovation in Vienna

For that reason we prepared a presentation (At the Moment only in German)

We also started several teams (only visible, when you are logged in this platform) to work on the actual topics:

- Foundation of a charitable trust: The constitution is in the moment at the swiss government in examination

- Fundraising: Our goal is to collect funds from at least € 36000. That money is for starting the charitable trust and working on the prototype of a web2 - platform to connect all the stakeholder of the project.

- Online - Platform: for the setup of a platform, we look for IT experienced ...

Next Steps / New Ideas

This winter I was off. Two month of traveling in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, kept my away from work but at the same time brought my even closer to the vision of our Fair Work-Organization.

Now I am back and ready for the next steps.

The topics we discussed last autumn:
- should the operational part of the "Hybrid - Organization" be a co-operative or a joint stock company?
- Should we work with something like a "Fair-Ware" license or is "open-source" the ultimo ratio?

Both question we could answer with a X as well as Y.

A small change in the structure of the "Hybrid - Organization" will allow us to us both models in the same Organization. Both can fit for some subgroups of the whole organization.

You can see more about it in the last updates in our Community.

Since most of us speak fluent German, this actual updates are mostly in the German part of the Platform. If you do not understand German and ...

The Formation of a Foundation

Here already I start to struggle with my English. The moment legal terms are involved, it becomes difficult  Stirnrunzelnd

Are we speaking about a "Trust" or a "Foundation" if we mean "Stiftung"? How ever, I browsed  the Swiss law and found it very capable for our object:

http://fairwork.mixxt.org/networks/wiki/index.Stiftungsgruendung (German)

I will do some further research in the next days and hope that we can write the constitution as soon as possible. It would be nice to involve some experienced persons for this. so I sent a request to a few Foundations with similar goals to ask them to send us there constitutional ...

Welcome

I start with this diary because the project is evolving and including new and helpful brains especially though the vast network of Franz Nahrada. So we are lucky that the Open Source Peer to Peer Production community starts to become interested in our work. That is a good reason to extend the community into English since most of this new contacts are closer to this langauge.

Über dieses Blog

Here I report the newsworthy steps in the development of the project. I will do it in English as most of us understand it and the majority of the articles in this community are still in German.
